HOW WE DID IT

ZICO, a leading manufacturer of coconut water, partnered with Acosta Group’s Digital Commerce team to boost their digital presence and sales through Walmart Connect’s sponsored advertising platform.  

Leveraging our deep understanding of both the digital and physical retail environments, we developed a tailored strategy using Walmart Sponsored Search. We implemented highly targeted Sponsored Product campaigns focused on category, competitor, and defensive keyword strategies designed to increase digital gross merchandise value (GMV) and expand overall brand visibility. 

Through these campaigns, ZICO recognized a 59% increase in digital GMV, contributing to a 27% boost in total GMV. This success sparked discussions around expanding the brand’s presence in physical stores, ultimately leading to shelf activations in 700 additional Walmart locations. By driving higher unit sell-through rates, we were able to provide valuable insights that were shared with Walmart merchants, further accelerating growth. 

As the brand reached more Walmart stores, its digital penetration continued to expand, resulting in even greater visibility and consumer engagement.
